Cancel and Renew Your TeamAI Plan

You can manage your subscription from Settings → Billing. Only the workspace owner can cancel, renew, or open the billing portal. Workspace admins and other members cannot access billing actions.

Available Options

From Settings → Billing, open the Manage dropdown in the Plan & Usage section.

Menu order: Manage Plan → Cancel Plan or Renew → Upgrade Plan.

Manage Plan

  • Always shown

  • Opens the Stripe Customer Portal for most customers, or the Chargebee billing portal for legacy accounts

  • Update payment methods, view invoices, download receipts

Cancel Plan

  • Shown when your subscription is active and not already scheduled to cancel

  • Schedules cancellation at the end of your current billing cycle

  • No immediate service interruption. You keep access until your paid period ends

Renew plan

  • Shown when your subscription is scheduled to cancel but still active until period end (not after a subscription has fully ended)

  • Removes the scheduled cancellation immediately

  • Billing resumes on your normal cycle. No checkout or payment method re-entry.

Upgrade Plan

  • Always shown

  • Quick access to higher-tier plans

Add Credits

Legacy Chargebee customers only. Not shown on Stripe token-based plans (Individual, Starter, Professional, Enterprise).

How to Cancel Your Subscription

1. Navigate to Settings → Billing

2. Click the "Manage" dropdown in Plan & Usage section

3. Select "Cancel Plan"

4. Review the cancellation date in the modal (Cancel your [Plan] subscription?)

5. Confirm with Continue Cancellation (or choose Go back to keep your plan)

Modal copy: You'll lose access to [Plan] features when your subscription ends. Your plan will be cancelled on [date] (end of your current billing cycle).

Result: You'll see "Your plan will be cancelled on [date]" and retain full access until then.

How to Renew a Scheduled Cancellation

Use Renew while your subscription is still active but scheduled to cancel. This is not the same as restarting after a subscription has fully ended. If your subscription has fully ended, use Upgrade Plan instead. The Renew option does not appear after the plan has ended.

1. Go to Settings → Billing

2. Click "Manage" dropdown (now shows "Renew [Plan Name] plan")

3. Select "Renew [Your Plan Name] plan"

4. Confirm in the modal (Continue with your [Plan Name] plan?). Buttons: Not now | Yes, Continue My Plan

Result: The scheduled cancellation is removed immediately. Billing continues on your normal cycle. No checkout or payment method re-entry.

Important Details

Timing

• Cancellations are end-of-term only (no mid-cycle cancellations)

• Renewals take effect immediately

• On Stripe (most customers), status updates are usually immediate. Refresh the page if you do not see a change within a few seconds.

Legacy Chargebee accounts may take up to a few minutes.

• The billing page note applies: Subscription changes may take a few minutes to reflect. Please refresh this page after making changes.

Data & Access

• All data preserved during cancellation period

• Team access continues until cancellation date

• Full feature access maintained until plan ends

Team Workspaces

• Only workspace owners can manage subscriptions

• Changes affect all team members and child workspaces

• Requires workspace owner role (billing access)
