Access via Workspace Dropdown
Click your profile picture located in the top-right corner of the screen
Locate the "Your workspaces" section in the dropdown menu
Review the workspace list displayed beneath the section header
Identify your current workspace by finding the checkmark icon next to the workspace name
Result: The dropdown displays all workspaces you have permission to access, with visual indication of your active workspace.
Tip: The checkmark appears automatically next to your current workspace, making it easy to verify your context before performing actions.
Visit Workspaces Overview Page
Navigate directly to
https://app.teamai.comin your web browserReview the workspaces grid displayed on the landing page
Identify workspace details including name, description, and last accessed date
Result: The workspaces page shows a card-based layout of all your available workspaces with more detailed information than the dropdown view.
Best Practices
Verify workspace before sensitive actions: Always check the workspace name in the top navigation or dropdown before creating agents, uploading confidential files, or modifying settings to avoid accidental changes in the wrong environment.
Use overview page for onboarding: When introducing new team members to multiple workspaces, direct them to
https://app.teamai.comso they can see descriptions and understand each workspace's purpose.Bookmark frequently-used workspaces: If you regularly access a specific workspace, bookmark its direct URL (e.g.,
https://app.teamai.com/workspace/abc123) to bypass the selection step.Name workspaces clearly: If you manage multiple workspaces, give them descriptive names that appear in the dropdown and overview page, making it easier to identify the correct one quickly.
Close unnecessary tabs: When switching workspaces, close old workspace tabs to prevent confusion about which workspace you're currently using.
Common Questions
Q: Can I see workspaces I'm not a member of?
A: No. The dropdown and overview page display only workspaces where you have active membership. Contact a workspace administrator to request access to additional workspaces.
Q: What happens when I switch workspaces?
A: The page reloads and loads the selected workspace environment. You lose your current navigation state (e.g., if you were in a specific chat, you'll return to the workspace home page).
Q: Can I search for a workspace by name?
A: Not directly. The dropdown shows all workspaces in a scrollable list. If you have many workspaces, use the overview page which may be easier to scan visually.
Q: How many workspaces can I belong to?
A: There is no hard limit, but performance may degrade if you belong to dozens of workspaces. Consider consolidating or leaving inactive workspaces.
Q: Can I switch workspaces from a mobile device?
A: Yes. Both methods work on mobile browsers. The profile dropdown may be harder to tap accurately on small screens; the direct URL method often works better.
Q: Why don't I see the workspace dropdown?
A: If you belong to only one workspace, the dropdown may not appear. You can still access the overview page at https://app.teamai.com.
Q: Can I see who else is in a workspace before switching?
A: No. Workspace membership details are only visible after you enter the workspace. Use the overview page to see workspace descriptions for clues about intended membership.
Important Security Note
Verify Workspace Identity: Always confirm you're in the correct workspace before entering sensitive information or accessing confidential chats. The workspace name appears in the browser tab title and top navigation.
